March’s meeting will feature “The Long Walk: 2023 Thru-Hike of the Appalachian Trail,” presented by Chuck Merkle and detailing his months-long journey from Georgia to Maine .   Enjoy a night hike at the Wilderness Center on the first day of spring.  Bring your red-light flashlight – white lights are not allowed on the trails at night. Don’t have a red-light flashlight? Bring your flashlight and we can make it red for you.  Hiking boots and weather appropriate attire are recommended.

  Our trails are not only beautiful, but they tell lots of stories, too. Tune in to nature sounds and enjoy some fresh air on a medium length hike. Full of amazing discoveries, our hikes include seasonally relevant content including adaptations, ecological change, habitats, and the food web.
