Join TWC’s Bird Club in the Bird Observation Room in our Interpretive Building and enjoy Breakfast with the Birds! The TWC Bird Club will host this morning event and will be on-site to help our bird viewers identify the birds in our Bird Observation Room.

The Man Who Organized Nature: The Life of Linnaeus by Gunnar Broberg. A biography of the scientist who developed the system for naming plants and animals. The author examines the political and social context of Linnaeus' work.

Urban Jungle: The History and Future of Nature in the City by Ben Wilson. The author examines the uneasy relationship between nature and city throughout history. He cites examples of cities living proactively with nature as ways for the planet to survive in an age of climate crisis.

What an Owl Knows: The New Science of the World's Most Enigmatic Bird by Jennifer Ackerman. A New York Times Best-Seller by this well-known author describes the natural history of these elusive birds along with the latest discoveries about their brains and behaviors. She explores humanity's thousands years fascination with owls.
