World Snake Day
World Snake Day, celebrated every year on July 16th, is dedicated to celebrating snakes and their important role in the environment. Often feared and misunderstood, these creatures are important for maintaining ecological balance, controlling pest populations, and supporting biodiversity. These remarkable reptiles also have a multitude of fascinating adaptations and behaviors to discover.
Join us in the Cardinal Room for a free educational program about snakes, featuring our live animal ambassador corn snake, Zea! If weather permits, afterwards we will go for a short hike to look for some of the wild snakes that live on the grounds of TWC.
