The Brush Blitz was a massive success, and we made serious progress—but we’re not done yet! There’s still a huge opportunity to make a lasting impact at Brewster Bog, and right now is the perfect time to act.
The north side of Brewster Bog is a high-value habitat with a mix of wetland types, but it’s overrun with invasive shrubs, some towering 12-15 feet tall. Native plants want to reclaim this space, but they can’t succeed with invasives choking them out. We’re here to change that. We’re adding BRUSH BLITZ: THE FINAL PUSH to the series—an all-out effort to remove as many invasives as possible before spring growth kicks in.
Whether you can stay for the full day or just drop by for a bit, any time you can give will make a difference. Every action matters. Invasive shrubs have choked out native life for too long, and now it’s our chance to fight back. We have the power to roll up our sleeves, tear down these towering invaders, and reclaim Brewster wetland for our native plants and animals.
