Water Stewardship at The Wilderness Center

Join us for an interactive program about storm water management by Adrienne Bock from Stark Soil and Water Conservation District. Properly managing storm water is beneficial to the environment in many ways. Learn how The Wilderness Center manages storm water through naturally occurring features such as vernal pools, wetlands, and native plants, as well as man-made features such as rain barrels, composting, and rain gardens.

The program starts with an indoor presentation about storm water pollution, including how it enters the watershed, and concludes in the field by hiking to see storm water management practices at different locations at The Wilderness Center.
