The Enchanted Forest 2025

On October 10th and 11th, the trails of The Wilderness Center (TWC) will be transformed into The Enchanted Forest!

Friday, October 10th 6:30 – 8:30 pm & Saturday, October 11th 4:00 – 8:30 pm

$12 / Person, Children age 2 and under are free.

Timeslots begin at 6:30 pm on Friday, and 4:00 pm on Saturday.

The Saturday afternoon timeslots are ideal for little ones who might feel anxious about entering the forest after dark.

• Tickets go on sale for TWC Members on Monday, August 11th and for General Public on Tuesday, September 2nd. This signature educational event has been happening for over 30 years and is a fall tradition for families throughout the region. *MEMBERS– be sure to log in to your TWC account to access early ticket registration!

🦉 Meet costumed volunteers such as Caterpillar, Raccoon, Salamander, and Opossum in their woodland “homes” while being guided by a quiet “Firefly” along a jack-o-lantern lined trail. These friendly nocturnal characters sing, tell jokes and share stories of life in the woodlands.  Create lasting memories with family and friends in a unique setting while learning about the interconnectedness and importance of nocturnal species.

🔭 Afterwards, weather permitting, stop by TWC’s Observatory and view the night sky through our powerful telescopes.

🎃 Enchanted Forest is suitable for guests of all ages. Please dress accordingly for this rain or shine event and wear shoes appropriate for walking an unpaved, forest trail. The trail is ~ 1/2 mile. Your “Fireflies” will use solar powered lanterns to guide you along a jack-o-lantern lit trail, so flashlights are not permitted.

Children are encouraged to further join in the fun of the Enchanted Forest by dressing as their favorite animal!

Enchanted Forest supports The Wilderness Center’s mission to inspire and nurture a connection between people and nature through habitat conservation, environmental education, and community engagement.
