Jill is passionate about native gardening, wildlife and protecting our pollinators. Long before joining the educational team at OSU Extension, she has been serving as a Master Gardener and Certified Naturalist as well as a supporting member of the Garden Clubs of Portage County and Ravenna. She is a lifelong learner and continues to learn about what she can do to help the conservation efforts in Ohio. Jill specializes in science-based education, rain gardens, ODNR’s Project WILD, and growing native plants for Ohio’s pollinators. As a butterfly enthusiast, she has been raising Monarchs and other butterflies and moths for nearly 15 years and shares pollinator conservation education with the community through presentations, photography, and enthusiastic expression. Jill has partnered with Journey North as a citizen scientist to share with the community of how they can become involved in local conservation.
