Learn about our first and oldest science – Astronomy! From our earliest ancestors and throughout time, humans have been fascinated by the sky, and it has inspired wonder and curiosity. Be amazed by what the earliest astronomers learned about the Sun, Moon, planets, and the motion of the stars using only observation and mathematics. Learn how each generation of astronomers built upon the knowledge gained by those who came before them. Galileo and his telescope changed astronomy forever leading to the modern instruments used on Earth and in space today. Be inspired as we explore the many milestones and accomplishments humans have made as we seek to understand the cosmos! A “Tonight’s Sky” program showing seasonal constellations and planets currently in the night sky will follow the show.
