Join The Wilderness Center for our summer Jr. Naturalist Days, designed for young nature enthusiast ages 7-10. Over five exciting days, participants will delve into the fascinating world of nature, exploring topics like pollinators, conservation, mammals, freshwater ecosystems, and become FBI Investigators. Through hands-on activities, exploration, and games we will discover some of the skills it takes to be a naturalist here at The Wilderness Center.
Jr. Naturalists will take an adventure learning all about Ohio’s diverse mammal species. Through hands-on interactions and activities our Jr naturalist will explore the various adaptations of Ohio’s mammals and the habitats they live in. We will explore the forest, grasslands, and wetlands in search of signs of mammal presence. We will learn about tracks, scat, and learn the secrets of Ohio’s mammals.
We will take a lunch break, so Jr. Naturalists are encouraged to bring a lunch and snacks. We will also be exploring various habitats and spaces. Make sure to dress for outdoor adventures and bring sunscreen and insect repellent. Accompanying adults are welcome to stay but not required to stay.
Note: This $20/$25 registration is only for Junior Naturalist Days: Mammal Mania on 07/03/24
