Junior Naturalist Days: H2Whoa!

Join The Wilderness Center for our summer Jr. Naturalist Days, designed for young nature enthusiast ages 7-10. Over five exciting days, participants will delve into the fascinating world of nature, exploring topics like pollinators, conservation, mammals, freshwater ecosystems, and become FBI Investigators. Through hands-on activities, exploration, and games we will discover some of the skills it takes to be a naturalist here at The Wilderness Center. 

Dive into Ohio’s rich freshwater ecosystem as we explore the streams, ponds, and other freshwater habitats around The Wilderness Center. Jr. Naturalists will learn about the importance of Ohio’s waterways and the diverse life they support. Through pond dipping and stream searching we will get up close and personal with these freshwater critters in their environment.

We will take a lunch break, so Jr. Naturalists are encouraged to bring a lunch and snacks. We will also be exploring various habitats and spaces. Make sure to dress for outdoor adventures and bring sunscreen and insect repellent. Accompanying adults are welcome to stay but not required to stay.
