Stream bank erosion can lead to stream channelization, disconnecting our water ways from their natural flood plains and wetlands. This, in turn, increases flooding and affects water quality and the surrounding habitat. Join our Land Steward to see how boulders can stabilize a bank and prevent further erosion.

As summer comes to a close, the cool crisp air, vibrant forests, and breezy prairies of fall are an exciting time to get outside and volunteer! Come join our Land Steward, Zac Justus, as we explore what being a good steward of our natural areas is all about. Through stewardship, we will work to protect and care for our land, water, and air in a series of volunteer challenges. Together we will clean up our waterways, remove invasive plants, collect native seeds, plant trees at a restoration site, create habitat, remove thousands of pounds of trash, and repair an eroding streambank.

Those who rise to the challenge by volunteering 15 hours of their time across all events will receive recognition in our quarterly newsletter and some TWC swag to show our appreciation. Even showing up for a single event has a huge impact and we will be thrilled to have you join us whenever you can!

So grab your hiking boots and let's go have some fun in the woods! All the equipment, gloves, and tools will be provided by TWC and each event will be guided by our Land Steward, Zac.

Walk-ins are welcome, but registration is appreciated to help with planning.
