A collapsed barn and the remains of an abandoned home sit at the heart of this site—surrounded by decades of accumulated waste. Rusting metal, broken glass, plastics, and hazardous debris have been leaching into the soil and waterways, posing ongoing risks to both people and wildlife.
This cleanup will tackle it all—removing the deteriorating structures themselves and clearing every trace of unsafe debris inside and around them. This is more than just a cleanup; it’s a complete reset for the land, clearing the way for the next phase of restoration. Once the site is free of hazards, it will become the foundation for creating vital bat habitat, seasonal vernal pools, and newly revegetated areas that will transform this property into a safe, thriving ecosystem.
It’s an extremely high-impact project in a broader effort to bring this land back to life. Every piece removed brings us closer to clean water, stable soils, and a vibrant home for wildlife.
All tools and materials will be provided. Wear sturdy shoes and clothing suited for rugged conditions and varied debris.
