What do indigo buntings and dung beetles have in common? Learn the answer to this intriguing question as we explore how light pollution affects animals that begin their day when the Sun sets. We’ll also look at how light pollution affects plants, people, and climate change.  Having a dark sky does not mean we have dark ground.  We need lights at night – light used only where it’s needed and when it’s needed, light that protects our health and safety, light that isn’t wasted and saves us money, and light that allows us to be continually inspired by the night.   Learn what good dark-sky lighting is and be inspired to make your home and yard dark-sky friendly for all those nighttime creatures and plants that call your backyard home.
