The Wilderness Center relies on volunteers for a number of different tasks and jobs. Your help is one of our most valuable resources! By donating your time, you are directly supporting Conservation, Education, and our Community.
There are a number of different jobs that volunteers can do. Take a look below and then fill out our volunteer interest form. We would love to have you as a volunteer at TWC!

Enchanted Forest 2024:
- Pumpkin Carving- first week of October

Fall Birdseed Sale:

Tree of Life Tree Planting (April):
- Plant Saplings in an area at TWC that needs reforested

- Sorting Plants/Pulling Orders
- Customer Service Day of Plant Pickup
Nature Fest (June):
- Vendor Set Up- 7 AM
- Vendor Tear Down- 3 PM

Friend of Foxfield Volunteer:
- Office work
- Staffing event booths
- Helping families find memorial markers and gravestones by using a smartphone tool
- General interest tour guides
- Organizing processional
- Pallbearer & casket lowering
- Cemetery trails maintenance
- Gravesite preparation and maintenance
Pop-Up Opportunities:
- Exciting, surprise things like helping construct a willow tunnel!
Store Greeters are multi-taskers! They are the friendly faces that TWC visitors see and refer to for help when needed.

Grounds and Maintenance volunteers keep the trails and Interpretive Building looking beautiful!
Docents/Educators are volunteers who help with adult and children education programming and serve on the Education Committee.
