Mars, the red planet. It has fueled our imaginations for centuries, inspiring stories, music, and the dream of exploring other worlds. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to fly to Mars? NASA and others are preparing to take human space flight to the next level. Learn how the International Space Station, where astronauts are already living and working, is teaching us how to keep humans healthy and safe during months and years of interplanetary travel. See how new rockets and vehicles will revolutionize space travel. And explore the missions that will be the steppingstones taking us from Earth to the Moon and on to Mars. Then fly to Mars and learn what it will take to live and work on our red neighbor. NASA has its sights set on Mars. It will be the next great adventure, the next giant leap for humankind.
A “Tonight’s Sky” program showing seasonal constellations and planets currently in the night sky will follow the fulldome show.
