Hike Our Trails Volunteer Series: Solo Participation
Hike. Restore. Repeat.
Spring is here, and that means it’s time for our Annual Hike Our Trails volunteer series! The Wilderness Center headquarters in Wilmot has miles of beautiful trails to explore, but did you know we have others too? From the newly opened Doughty Gorge to the rugged Zoar Woods, there’s always something to discover! So grab your hiking boots, get outside, and let’s explore them together with our Land Steward, Zac!
Prefer solo adventures? No problem! Participate on your own time—just hike the trail of the week, pull garlic mustard, clip overhanging bramble, pick up trash, or just enjoy nature. Share your efforts by tagging TWC on social media and using #hikerestorerepeattwc or emailing your pictures to us! Be sure to email Zac at Zachary@wildernesscenter.org for your participation form! No experience is needed, and it’s appropriate for adults and teenagers—we provide all the tools!
And of course, we have prizes!
- 4 Hikes – Wilderness Center Pin
- 6 Hikes – Branded TWC Hike Our Trails hiking stick + newsletter recognition
- 8 Hikes – Conservation Volunteer T-shirt, Branded Hiking Stick, and newsletter recognition
