We're proud to present The Wilderness Center’s School Programs for 2004-2005! You’ll see lots of big changes this year—6 brand-new programs! Almost all the programs have been “tweaked” or more, to meet the new Academic Content Standards.

     The Wilderness Center has been offering school nature programs for almost 40 years. We strive to make every program—life science, earth and space science, and interdisciplinary—as hands-on and up-close as possible. Each program is designed to be adapted to a range of age/grade levels, but our levels are suggestions—you know your students and curriculum best. Please try to schedule no more than 2 consecutive grade levels in each presentation.

     We’ve had great success! We served 15,000 students last school year! Demand for programs at TWC has grown, so we have had to cut back on programs at schools this year. Outreach programs at your site (except Star Watch) are not available from April 15 through May 31 or from September 15 through October 31, so we can better serve groups that come to TWC. We’re happy to visit your site all the rest of the year!
