John R. Werren Honoree to the
Earthly Delights Dinner Auction

   The Wilderness Center will honor attorney John R. Werren with the 2009 Community Leadership Award at the Earthly Delights tribute dinner and benefit auction on Friday, November 20 at the University Center atKent State Stark.
    John has been with the firm of Day Ketterer Ltd. for 43 years. He has been a trusted legal advisor in estate planning and administration, civil litigation, family and corporate law. He is a member of the American, Ohio State and Stark County Bar Associations, Fellow of the American Bar and Ohio State Bar Foundations.
    John is a friend to many non-profit organizations as he has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Stark County Community Foundation, the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Cultural Center for the Arts Board, Walsh University Advisory Board and the Stark Development Board.
    In addition to John’s distinguished legal career and community service, he also has made quite a name for himself in Stark County as an amateur historian, speaking to hundreds of civic, educational and community groups about the history of Stark County. He and his wife Joan have three children and five grandchildren.
    In honor of John, the theme of this year’s Earthly Delights is the 60’s and BeatleMania! Don’t miss this unique opportunity to help honor one of Canton’s icons with the legends who were famous when John started his career in the 1960’s. Among the event’s attractions will be Hard Days Night, the premier Beatles tribute band in Ohio.
    Tickets will be $125 per person for cocktails, hors d’oeurves, dinner, wine, and music. A Silent and Live auction will also be held, and all proceeds will benefit The Wilderness Center. Stay connected about event details through the Wilderness Center’s Facebook Group.

Betsy Biros-Bules to Chair
Earthly Delights DinnerAuction

  Betsy Biros-Bules is the chair of the 2009 Earthly Delights Tribute Dinner & Auction that will honor John Werren, of Day Ketterer LTD, Attorneys at Law.

   Betsy is a graduate of Youngstown State University with a degree in public relations and advertising. She won two world championships as a baton twirler and was employed as admissions director for the Barbizon School of Modeling for twenty years. She has served on numerous boards, including The Kidney Foundation and March of Dimes. She and her husband Ray open their home for various charitable events at Christmas, for which she decorates over fifty trees and presents ceiling to floor decorations, which take two months to complete.

   The $125 ticket price for Earthly Delights includes an open bar reception with hors d'oeurves, dinner with wine and dessert, and as a bonus, a concert by Hard Days Night, Ohio's premiere Beatles tribute band! Hard Days Night will be at the event in full costume to keep the evening flowing and lively.
